# Supported networks

> Networks where Atlas is available.

Atlas supports multiple networks. Current and upcoming networks include:

* Base (primary)
* Arbitrum (planned)

Atlas is currently deployed on **Base**, with plans to expand to additional networks.

## Base (Primary Network)

### Why Base?

* **Low fees**: Transaction costs are a fraction of Ethereum mainnet
* **Fast confirmations**: \~2 second block times
* **Ethereum security**: Inherits security from Ethereum L1
* **Growing ecosystem**: Access to major DeFi protocols

### Getting Started on Base

1. **Add Base to your wallet**:
   * Network Name: Base
   * RPC URL: `https://mainnet.base.org`
   * Chain ID: 8453
   * Currency Symbol: ETH
   * Block Explorer: `https://basescan.org`

2. **Bridge funds**:
   * Use the [Base Bridge](https://bridge.base.org) to transfer ETH from Ethereum
   * Or use a CEX that supports Base withdrawals (Coinbase, etc.)

3. **Get USDC**:
   * Native USDC on Base: `0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913`
   * Swap ETH for USDC on Aerodrome or Uniswap

## Planned Networks

We're evaluating expansion to these networks:

* **Arbitrum** - High liquidity L2
* **Optimism** - OP Stack ecosystem
* **Ethereum Mainnet** - For institutional users
